The exhibition dedicated to Cristina Iglesias at La Pedrera closed its doors on January 25th after having been visited by almost 20,000 people.
The show allowed the public to enter the creative universe of one of the most relevant contemporary artists on the international scene, through a set of works that directly dialogued with the unique architecture of Gaudí's building. The exhibition proposed an immersive experience, marked by the relationship between space, matter and perception.
This artistic proposal is part of the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera's line of promoting cultural projects that encourage a careful look and a deep relationship with contemporary art, reinforcing the link between artistic creation and architectural heritage.
With the closing of the Cristina Iglesias exhibition, La Pedrera continues to consolidate itself as a reference space for culture, while preparing the next exhibition proposals.
Around the exhibition, the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera has deployed a program of parallel activities in collaboration with some of the main cultural institutions, such as the Liceu or the Palau de la Música, which has expanded and enriched the exhibition experience. Conferences, meetings, guided visits and proposals for interdisciplinary dialogue have allowed us to delve deeper into the work of Cristina Iglesias and situate it in a broad context of artistic and cultural reflection.
