Carla Casadevall Serrano
Carla Casadevall obtained her PhD in Chemistry in 2019 at the Catalan Institute for Chemical Research (ICIQ), under the supervision of Prof. Julio Lloret-Fillol. Her doctoral thesis focused on the detailed study of the mechanisms involved in artificial photosynthesis reactions, as well as on the development of sustainable goals to produce solar fuels and fine chemical products. In September 2019, Carla joined Prof. Erwin Reisner's group at the University of Cambridge as a postdoctoral researcher at the BBSRC to develop hybrid catalyzers based on heterogeneous materials and biological systems for the production of solar fuels. Since October 2020, Carla is a Marie Skłodowska Curie postdoctoral researcher in the same group, and she is working on the compartmentalization of artificial photosynthesis. In addition, La Carla has participated in different scientific dissemination activities throughout her career, for example she has participated in several "Research Nights", the 100th Scientists project organized by ICIQ and BIST during the International Day of Women and Girls in Science", science fairs in Cambridge, etc.
