Florenci Vallès Sala

Born in Manresa in 1960, he has a degree in biological sciences since 1982 and has been a professor of biology and geology in secondary education for 32 years. Since 2003, he has been a professor of the naturalist course organized by the Bages Delegation of the Catalan Institution of Natural History. President of this delegation and active member of the Montsalat Civic Platform, which fights to reduce the environmental impact of potash and salt mining in Bages.

Environmentalist biologist, student of the nature of Bages since the age of 18 (especially the flora and vegetation) with several articles on this topic. Co-author of the book Guia d’espais naturals del Bages (1998) and one of the main authors of the website El medi natural del Bages. Author of the books El medi natural del terme de Manresa (2002), Arbres de Manresa (2004) and Guia d'arbres de Sant Fruitós de Bages (2004), and of the study Els jardins i el bosc de Sant Benet de Bages: description and proposals for action ”(2002).
