
Marcos Rodrigues Mimbrero
Marcos holds a degree in Geography from the University of Zaragoza (UZ) and a Master's in Geographic Information Technology (TIG) from the same university. In 2015 he presented his doctoral thesis on the study of new methods for modeling wildfires and estimating ecological vulnerability. As part of his PhD thesis he spent time at the Joint Research Centre in Ispra (Italy) and at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland, UK). From 2013-2017 he worked as an associate professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Zaragoza, teaching on the undergraduate Geography degree and the Master’s in TIG. He also worked as a Geographic Information Systems analyst. Marcos is one of the co-founders of the spinoff company RemOT-Technologies S.L. Since 2016, he has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lleida through a ‘Juan de la Cierva’ research contract.
