Carolina Pulignani
Carolina graduated in Chemistry from the Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” in 2016 and completed a master’s degree in Synthetic Methodologies and Bioorganic Chemistry at the Università di Bologna ALMA MATER (2019). During her master’s studies, Carolina developed biological inks for DLP 3D printers.
She completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge with a Marie Curie fellowship, working on the development of carbon-based photoanodes (e.g., "carbonitrides" and "carbondots") to selectively catalyze organic reactions for converting waste materials into high-value products and for plastic photoreforming. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2).
