Estefania Blanch (IEEC)

PhD in Physics, specialising in Geophysics, from the Ebre Observatory (URL-CSIC). Award for the best doctoral thesis in Geophysics carried out in Spain and Latin America. 18 years as a researcher in the Geomagnetism and Aeronomy research group at the Ebre Observatory on the effects of space weather on the terrestrial environment. Participation in national and international research projects, author/co-author of scientific articles published in indexed journals and more than 100 participations in national and international conferences. Alumni of the International Space University where she studied the Master of Science in Space Studies. For 2 years she has been an associate professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a secondary school teacher. Long experience in research dissemination, member of the working group of the educational programme NewSpace, member of the STEM working group of Terres de l'Ebre ICE-URL, trainer at the STEM days in Space. Currently expert manager in Earth observation at the office of services and industrial promotion of the area of promotion of the space sector of Catalonia at the IEEC involved in the activities promoted by the IEEC linked to the NewSpace strategy of Catalonia such as the promotion of the use of satellite data among the Catalan ecosystem.
