Laia Casamiquela
She graduated in 2012 in physics from the University of Barcelona, where she also completed a master's degree in "astrophysics, particle physics and cosmology" in 2013. In 2017 she obtained her PhD in physics for the analysis of chemical abundances in star clusters within the context of the evolution of our galaxy, the Milky Way. After a four-year postdoctoral stay at the Bordeaux astrophysics laboratory, she is currently a senior researcher at the Paris Observatory, contributing to the data processing consortium of the Gaia space mission. She has experience in university teaching in the degree in physics, and currently teaches in the master's degree in "sciences of the universe and space technologies" at the Paris Observatory and the Paris Sciences et Lettres University. Due to the observational nature of his research, she has extensive experience in both amateur and professional astronomical observations, and in data processing and analysis. She also actively participates in outreach programs, conferences and observations focused on different audiences.
