Santi Roca-Fàbrega

Santi graduated in Physics from the University of Barcelona (UB) in 2009. After completing a three-month stay at the Canary Islands Institute of Astrophysics, he began a Master's degree in Astrophysics, which he completed in September 2010. In 2014 he presented his doctoral thesis on the study of the formation and evolution of spiral structures in Milky Way galaxies through simulations. He continued his research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2015-2017). In 2017 he received a Master's in teacher training from UNED. After a post-doctoral position in the UCM (Spain) and UNAM (México) now he is working in the Lund University (Sweden) as the coordinator of the AGORA international project and the ARRAKIHS-ESA space mission. His contribution to astronomy outreach began around 2005 at the Garrotxa Astronomical Association, where he gave talks, observations and classes at many of the science outreach centres in the Girona province.
