We are working on the conservation of biodiversity and ecological restoration in our spaces or in nearby spaces, thus contributing to the global challenge of halting the loss of biodiversity and restoring ecological processes where they have been lost or degraded.

Fish ramps

Catalan rivers have a serious problem of fragmentation with more than 1,100 ecological barriers that prevent the free passage of aquatic organisms.

Fish ramps, such as the ones that the Foundation has built in the Món Sant Benet lock or promoted in the Ebro through the LIFE MigratoEbre project (2014-2024), are an excellent solution for restoring this connectivity and improving the populations of fish, especially those who depend on migration for their life cycle.

In the Segre River in La Cerdanya (Catalonia), the Foundation has worked to restore the riparian forest through the LIFE Alnus project (2017-2022).
