The Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera has concluded the 9th edition of the BIYSC – Barcelona International Youth Science Challenge, an international program that brought together 150 brilliant students from 32 countries to develop 14 cutting-edge research projects in collaboration with top research institutions in Catalonia.
Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera has inaugurated the BIYSC which will bring together 150 young people from 31 countries to experience an intensive scientific research stay in Catalonia.
The award, organised by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and La Vanguardia, has been awarded to the research led by Carla García-Cabau and Anna Bartomeu from the Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Barcelona (IRB Barcelona)
Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and La Vanguardia promote this award with the aim of giving visibility to outstanding female researchers and helping to reduce the gender gap in the scientific field
The Vanguardia de la Ciència Award, organized by Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and La Vanguardia, has been awarded to the research led by Marta Alonso and Iker Ausejo-Mauleón from the Clínica Universidad de Navarra - Centro de Investigaciones CIMA.
