43 students from Salt receive School Scholarships from the Foundation

The launch of the new edition - the 12th - took place Saturday at Món Sant Benet with 300 people attending.
The main event took a look back at the school's history and served as a reunion for students, alumni, teachers and anyone associated with the Oms i de Prat School educational community over its 50 years of history
The gathering featured a talk by Dr Rosa Casafont, an expert in the neuroscience of emotion and Gerard Segú, UNESCO Director in Catalonia.
On Saturday, the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation participated in the 2nd Workshop on Pedagogical Innovation of Catalonia organised by the Department of Education in Bellaterra. The workshop was organised to support, disseminate and transfer proven and validated pedagogical and educational innovations between teachers and professionals.
During the month of May, the best theatrical creations today will once again converge at La Pedrera. This new edition includes two world premieres: Societat Doctor Alonso and the duo of Pablo Gisbert and Juan Navarro. It will also feature the premiere of two pieces by emerging young talents.
A test for cancer immunotherapy, the title of research conducted by Aleix Prat and Manel Juan, researchers at Barcelona's Hospital Clínic, was named the 2018 breakthrough of the year in Spain as part of the Vanguardia Science Award, an initiative of the Grup Godó and the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation. Second prize went to Jose J. Lucas and Raúl Méndez from the Center for Molecular Biology Severo Ochoa and the Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Barcelona/ICREA, on ‘A key protein in the origin of autism’; and third prize went to Aitor Mugarza and César Moreno of the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ICREA, for ‘Nanoporous graphene, a membrane with exceptional properties’.
The concerts at La Pedrera are the culmination of this laboratory of artistic experiences, the outcome of a prior process of research, innovation and creation. The goal is to promote talented young creators like Els Jóvens, Mourn, Pavvla, Avstral, Playback Maracas and Baiuca, who are working with famous groups from the alternative visual scene this year. The family session will be held on Sunday 24 March with music by the Orchestra Fireluche and the screenings of Morgan Caney.
