Fauna and flora

Meadows and pastures, forests and rocks are the main habitats of the space, which is home to numerous biodiversity. The hillsides are covered in Martinique oak tree groves, while beeches cover the shadows, and the cliffs shelter some holm oaks. At the gorges of the streams we can find hazelnuts, poplars, lemongrass..., and on the rocks, ferns and very curious plants, such as the Pyrenean-violet.

Wildlife is very present, and it is not difficult to find a wild boar, a squirrel, a badger, a fox or a civet cat, or to hear a finch or goldfinch singing, or to see a vulture or a sparrowhawk flying. On wet or rainy days we can see salamanders and toads along the roads, be careful not to step on them!
