Slow worm

(Anguis fragilis)
The slow worm, also called the glass snake because of the fragility of its tail, seeks out moist spaces, which are very abundant in the Tosca forest. Despite its snake-like appearance, it is closely related to lizards.

rabbit

Rabbit

(Oryctolagus cuniculus)
Species included in the natural park wildlife monitoring programme due to the drastic reduction in the population due to haemorrhagic viral disease. The rabbit is essential in the diet of many predators.
