Wild goat

(Capra pyrenaica)
More than 5,000 wild goats live in the National Hunting Reserve of the Ports of Tortosa and Beseit, of which the port of Arnes is part. The males, with their spectacular antlers, are a prized piece of hunting and a pleasure to watch for the attentive and silent observers.

Golden eagle 

(Aquila chrysaetos)
These wild mountains are an ideal habitat. They share the airspace with the common vulture, the Egyptian vulture and the eagle.

Fish wealth

The crystalline waters of the rivers in the area are home to a wide variety of fish, including nase, catfish and barbels. And its main predator: the otter.

Flora and vegetation

Pine groves

We will find pine forests with monumental trees such as "lo Pimpoll" or "lo Pi Ramut", and scrubs with holly box and yew, protected plant species. We can also find unique species such as the Pyrenean violet, of which we have the southernmost population in Europe, and some species of orchids that are difficult to find elsewhere.
