The Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation presents “La Pedrera in a Female Key”, a new series of dialogues between prominent female personalities in the fields of dance, theatre and music. Each of the three sessions will close with an artistic performance from a gender perspective. Àngels Margarit, Cristina Alonso, Carme Portaceli, Glòria Ribera and Raquel García-Tomás are just some of the artists featured in the series.
The Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation presents Bill Viola. Mirrors of the Unseen, where we will learn about the uniqueness of this artist through around 40 works, 20 of which will be on display at La Pedrera and the remainder at cultural institutions in the city and around Catalonia. The exhibition is a survey of the artist's career, from important early works such as Reflecting Pool (1977-1979), until today.

On Sunday, 15 September, the pianist Albert Cano will open the series with a chamber concert with the Cosmos Quartet. He will be followed by Víctor Jiménez, countertenor, and Miquel Ramos, clarinetist. Raquel García-Tomás, the resident composer, will create a piece for each musician which will premiere as part of La Pedrera’s concert season. With this series, the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation supports and promotes talented young musical performers and creators.
The new summer evening activity at Món Sant Benet has got underway, which will fill the monastery with activity on Friday and Saturday evenings from 12 July to 7 September.
The journalist Cristina Fallarás is the winner of the 3rd edition of the María Luz Morales Journalism Award, and the runner-up is the Italian journalist Emanuela Zuccalà. The award is sponsored by the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation and the Cultural Gender Observatory in conjunction with the newspaper ARA, and its goal is to award journalism pieces that discuss women's empowerment and feminism.

New edition starting 15 September The chosen performers are Albert Cano Smit, a pianist with a promising international career; the renowned clarinetist Miquel Ramos; and for the first time, the tessitura of the countertenor Víctor Jiménez Díaz, who has a distinguished international career. And in composition, Raquel García-Tomàs.
As part of ‘Conversations at La Pedrera’ series, a meeting between the chef and gastronome Yotam Ottolenghi (Jerusalem, 1968) and Toni Massanés, director of the Alícia Foundation.
